Propst Fishing Dynasty

Bob Propst Jr, son of fishing legend Bob Propst Sr, has blazed a legendary fishing career himself. Bob Jr was the 1991 PWT Rookie of the Year, the first in the history of walleye fishing. Some other major accomplishments in his storied career include 2 Professional Walleye Trail Victories and 1 RCL(FLW) Win. Jr was 1/2 of the 2009 Masters Walleye Cricut West Team of the Year, which are just a few of his accomplishments on a legendary resume.

Bob Jr has spent over 40 years of his life guiding, beginning at the age of 14 along the shores of Lake McConaughy. As the 90’s and Lake Oahe in South Dakota became more prevalent, Bob moved to Pierre, SD and began guiding with Bob Sr on Lake Sharpe and Lake Oahe on the the beautiful Missouri River system. Bob’s deep passion of catching walleye has taken him across the country, cashing checks in not only South Dakota and Nebraska but also in Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and even down in Arkansas.

Mason Propst, is a third-generation angler of the Propst family. Following in the footsteps of Bob Sr and Bob Jr, Mason has had a rod in his hand his whole life. Learning from these legends Mason has a deep understanding of targeting walleyes across the country. He calls the Missouri River home where he lives in Pierre, SD. Mason spends the bulk of his time chasing walleyes on Lake Sharpe or Lake Oahe.

Propst Professional Anglers specializes in walleye fishing on South Dakota’s Missouri River impoundments, Lake Sharpe and Lake Oahe. In the early season, Propst Professional Anglers loves to indulge on Nebraska’s walleye fishing in locations like Harlan County Reservoir, Sherman Reservoir, Lake McConaughy and Merritt Reservoir.

When fishing with with Propst Professional Angler’s there’s a number of tactics you may use depending on the conditions, but here are the most likely; In the Spring and Fall you will likely find yourselves pitching light jigs and minnows waiting for a good thump to reel in. In the late spring and throughout the summer you will likely be bottom bouncing live bait for walleye across Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe.
